A 48 Hour Intensive Giving You The Tools To Become A Yoga Teacher Who Transforms Lives
You are a yoga teacher right? Awesome!
As fulfilling as being a yoga teacher and touching the lives of hundreds and even thousands is, it can also be quite the energy drain. Between traveling all over to various studios, to making money, to finding your authentic voice, to holding space for hundreds of students and all of their “stuff.” It’s a lot. I know, I’ve been doing it for almost 13 years …
And on this journey of being a yoga teacher I have had the chance to connect with some unique and transformative practices that go beyond the yoga practice that have helped teach me how to take the practice of yoga and elevate it to an experience that transforms the practitioner even from the first class.
After 4 years of co teaching the Beyond Asana Teacher Training I’ve created a training that goes even deeper and addresses a lot of the energetic, behind-the-scenes elements of being a yoga teacher that a 200 hour training doesn’t always cover including:
- Advanced Sequencing
- Tapping into your Raw Intuition
- The Energetics of a Being a Teacher
- Creating Healthy Boundaries
- Teaching with the Chakras
- Building Your Platform & Business
When: Please check back for upcoming dates.
Where: The Maas Building 1325 Randolph Street, Philadelphia PA 19119
- Must have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training.
- Must be teaching yoga classes for at least a year.
- Must have basic knowledge of the following:
- The Chakras
In this module we will cover three parts of advanced sequencing: alignment-based, creative and intuitive. You will gain tools on how to marry alignment with creativity to keep your students inspired and safe. We will also spend time on intuition practices to help you tap into each class so that you can teach from a place of connected consciousness and deep intuition. All of this leads to students being able to tap into their bodies in a safe and impactful way.
Energetics of Being a Yoga Teacher
This is the most important of all of the modules as it is the foundation for being a yoga teacher who is fulfilled and impactful. In order for the work we do to be sustainable we must start here. It’s not about just getting by at a yoga teacher. We are meant to THRIVE. Here we will focus on creating healthy boundaries, understanding energy exchange, working with your triggers and develolping sustainable and lasting self-care practices. You will also learn simple energy practices to help clear and protect your energy before during the while teaching.
Energetics of Teaching a Yoga Class
Everything we do is energy. When we learn how to tap into this energy, work with it, read it and even move it, we take on a much more powerful role as a yoga teacher. THIS is when the magic really begins. In this module we will focus on how to cultivate an awareness of this energy through simple processes such as holding space, mat set up, lighting, becoming a channel, and connecting with your students both individually and as a whole.
The ability to weave a profound and relatable story throughout a class is the key to taking your students into the deeper layers this practice has to offer. And yet many teachers only scratch the surface of theming. Often times themes have the ability to bend and turn and evolve into a deeper lasting impression. In this module we will work on the deeper layers of theming and how to connect a powerful theme with the asana, pranayama and meditation practices that will truly impact your students. We will also work with music and how to use integrative playlists to deepen the messaging of your theme.
Teaching with the Chakras
The Chakras are powerful tools that help a teacher to create even more impactful and transformative classes. First we will take time to really break down the Chakras and discuss what a balanced, overactive and underactive Chakra looks and feels like. We will also spend time creating classes that are based on the Chakras, discussing each Chakra and which postures and energetic practices work for each and how to use your knowledge of the Chakras with private clients.
Your Brand. Your Platform. Your Business.
If you are or want to teach yoga full time you must spend time on creating a brand and a platform for your business. Like it or not, you are in business and fostering this business is just as important as learning how to teach asana. Here we will spend time on marketing, social media, branding, your ideal student avatar, bio writing, pictures and web design. We will also take time to map out your bigger visions for the next 1, 5 and 10 years.
Advanced Adjustments and Therapeutics
In this module Naime will focus on anatomy, skilled adjustments and therapeutic applications to aid in actively relieving pain and repairing injuries for your students. A variety or musculo-skeletal injuries and misalignments related to the upper and lower body will be reviewed as well as anatomy and proper alignment in practical therapeutic yoga routines for optimal health.

In our 3 hours together we will look at the physical mechanics of breath in the body, the influence of breath on our physiology, the specifics of pranic flow through our energetic paths as well as the relationship of breath & PranaThen we will spend time putting our new understanding into practice. We will also look at how to mindfully and knowledgeably incorporate Pranayama into our teaching practice.

“In this 48- hour intensive Brittany not only delivered exactly what I thought I would be getting from this experience but also went beyond my expectations with the information she had to share. I walked away feeling more grounded in my abilities as a teacher, had an entire toolkit for working with the energetics within a yoga classroom as well as my own energetic self-care, and a stronger understanding of how to do advanced sequencing while incorporating the Chakras. I feel so empowered by what Brittany has taught me about setting boundaries, tapping into my intuition, and really owning my voice. Many people can teach alignment and asana, not everyone can teach you to speak your truth. Brittany has been my teacher since day one, I also did my 200 Hour Teacher Training with her. Just like she does every day, Brittany shows up in this intensive to help you utilize all of the intuitive wonder you already possess, as well as hand you an awesome toolkit to pull from as you need it.”Ella Cuda
“I was drawn to Brittany’s Advanced Teacher Training because of her authentic, dynamic and intuitive way of teaching. Her unique style of teaching yoga, through awareness, breath and the chakras, has the capacity to transform a student in just one class. Her training was more than just revisiting teaching principles. It gave me the ability to see how the personal connection and exploration into my own spiritual journey is one of the most sincere ways to approach teaching. This training will give you an opportunity to explore the energetics and magic of yoga in order to deepen your personal practice and your teaching experience.”Amanda Sebald
“Being a yoga teacher is so much more than teaching poses and if anyone knows that, it’s the wonderful Brittany Policastro. Her approach to teaching yoga is one of the main reasons I knew I had to participate in The Embodied Teacher Advanced Yoga Teacher Intensive. This unique training combines challenging and understated parts of teaching like reading the energy of a room and developing intuition, along with sequencing a class, building a brand, the chakras and more. I’ve never participated in a training like this one. Brittany goes deep. If you think you’re in for just another yoga teacher training, prepare yourself to be wildly surprised.”Jessica Lawlor
